Lauki which we also called ghiya and bottle gourd is always easily available at home and it is good for our health as it is a green vegetable. We can easily prepare tasty sweet dish from it with in very less time and with very few ingredients. It is one of the yummiest dessert. Lauki ki burfi is prepared with grated lauki, milk and sugar.   1. First in to heavy bottom kadai add ghee and lauki
  2. Let it cook on medium flame for 3-4 minutes but keep stirring in between.
  3. Add milk, sugar and cardamom powder
  4. Mix it on high flame and allow it to cook till it reduced to half of the quantity.
  5. Add green colour and pistachio essence
  6. Give it a quick mix and let it cook till thickens
  7. keep stirring and add coconut powder
  8. Cook it on high flame for few minutes
  9. Grease a plate with ghee and transfer the mixture
  10. Spread it evenly with spoon and set a layer of coconut and almond
  11. Keep it in refrigerator for 1-2 hours
  12. Cut it in to desired pieces and serve chilled
