Dal pakwan is perfect option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a sindhi cuisine. A combination of dal, fried with tomato and onion puree and served with pakwan. Delicious in taste and healthy too. See the detailed of this very easy and healthy recipe of dal pakwan below.

Instructions
  1. For making pakwan, prepare a soft dough with water and keep it aside for 15 minutes
  2. Now divide this in four equal portion and with rolling pin make pakwans
  3. With the help of fork make some holes in pakwan
  4. Deep fry on medium flame till crisp
  5. For making dal, heat the oil add cumin, mustard seeds
  6. Add asafoetida, green chilly, red chilly and curry leaves
  7. Saute it for few seconds
  8. Add boiled dal and all the spices and mix well
  9. Add lime juice and cook it for few minutes
  10. In last add fresh coriander
  11. Garnish it with chopped onion, tomato and fresh coriander
  12. Serve hot

For pakwan

  • 3/4 cup maida/all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup sooji/semolina
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of salt

For dal

  • 1/2 cup chana dal
  • 2 tbsp moong dal
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Red chilly powder
  • Garam masala
  • Coriander powder
  • Fresh coriander
  • Whole red chilly
  • Asafoetida
  • Curry leaves
  • Lime juice
  • Green chilly
  • Cumin seeds
  • Mustard seeds
  • Chopped onion
  • Chopped tomatoes
