Dal bati churma recipe
Dal bati and churma is a typical authentic cuisine of Rajasthan. Mix of many pulses with the tempering of whole spices, onion and tomato make it delicious and deep fried bati in to clarified butter enhances its taste. Instructions
  1. First in a hot oil saute all whole spices for a minutes and add ginger, garlic, onion and tomato
  2. Cook it till colour change and add boiled dals in to it
  3. Allow it to cook for 5-6 minutes on medium flame by covering it with lid
  4. Add all the dry spices, green chillies and fresh coriander
  5. Mix it and add lime juice
  6. For making bati take wheat flour in to it add fresh cream, salt and baking soda
  7. With the help of water prepare a dough and allow it to rest for 20 minutes
  8. After that make balls and shallow fry in to ghee
  9. For making churma take some ghee and roast wheat flour till colour change on low flame
  10. Add powder sugar , cardamon powder and grated coconut

  • 1 cup soaked and boiled moong & chana dal
  • Chopped tomato
  • Chopped onion
  • Chopped ginger
  • Chopped garlic
  • Chopped green chillies
  • Fresh coriander
  • Salt
  • Red chilly
  • Turmeric
  • Garam masala
  • Coriander powder
  • Lime juice
  • Bay leaves
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Cloves
  • Black pepper
  • Wheat flour
  • Powder sugar
  • Cardamom powder
  • Grated coconut
  • Fresh cream
