Amritsari chhole recipe
Very famous recipe of punjabi cuisine, Amritsari chhole, that brings water in the mouth. You can serve this recipe with amritsari kulcha.
Instructions
In a pan, add oil, butter and cumin seeds.
Saute ginger garlic paste, chopped garlic, green chillies, onions and tomato.
Add all the dry spices and tamarind pulp.
Add tomato puree and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
Add boiled chhole and cover it with lid and cook it for 5-7 minutes on medium flame.
Garnish it with chopped mint.

- Boiled chhole (soaked overnight)
- Tomato chopped
- Onion chopped
- 1 cup tomato puree
- Refined oil
- Butter
- Cumin seeds
- Salt
- Garam masala
- Red chilly powder
- Coriander powder
- Turmeric powder
- Black salt
- Dry ginger powder
- Fresh mint
- Ginger garlic paste
- Chopped chillies
- Chopped garlic
- Tamarind pulp
Preparation
- In a pan, add oil, butter and cumin seeds.
- Saute ginger garlic paste, chopped garlic, green chillies, onions and tomato.
- Add all the dry spices and tamarind pulp.
- Add tomato puree and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
- Add boiled chhole and cover it with lid and cook it for 5-7 minutes on medium flame.
- Garnish it with chopped mint.
- Serve hot
