Rabri with a twist of custard

Instructions
  1. First mix custard powder in to lukewarm milk and keep it aside
  2. Wait till you get a boil on milk and add custard
  3. Stir this continuously for a minute
  4. Add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and fresh cream
  5. Let it cook on medium flame till it gets thick
  6. Switch off the flame then add dry fruits and rose essence
  7. Keep this in refrigerator for cooling down
  8. Serve this chilled

  • 1 liter milk
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • Few drops rose essence
  • 7-8 saffron threads
  • 1 tbsp custard
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • Dry fruits

Preparation

  • First mix custard powder in to lukewarm milk and keep it aside
  • Wait till you get a boil on milk and add custard
  • Stir this continuously for a minute
  • Add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and fresh cream
  • Let it cook on medium flame till its get thick
  • Switch off the flame than add dry fruits and rose essence
  • Keep this in refrigerator for cooling down
  • Serve this chilled
